Staff will give the Board a brief presentation on air pollution impacts on health.
|99-4-2||Public Meeting to Consider an Informational Report on Air Quality Status and Trends
Staff will describe to the Board the present ambient air quality status and the air quality trends for ozone, particulate matter pollution, and toxic air contaminants.
|99-4-3||Public Meeting to Consider Proposals for the Air Resources Board's Innovative Clean Air Technologies (ICAT)
This presentation will provide the Board an overview of the ICAT program. Two ICAT contractors will provide the Board recent project results. Three proposals for funding will be described, and resolutions to fund them will be presented. The three proposals presented for consideration by the Board are (1) "Ultralow Nox Burner for Process Heaters and Industrial and Utility Boilers," by Altex Technologies Corporation; (2) "Commercial Cooking Grease Emissions Control, Microwave Cleaned Ceramic Filter Technology Commercialization," by Industrial Ceramic Solutions, LLC; and (3) "Advanced Zeolite Concentrator for Control of VOC Emissions," by Alzeta Corporation.

Proposal Number 2417-208 entitled "Determination of the 'Next Generation' of Automotive Refinishing Coatings, submitted by AVES, for a total amount not to exceed $179,495.
Proposal Number 2429-209 entitled "Flux Measurements of Ammonia to Estimate Emission Factors for Area Sources," submitted by the University of California, Riverside, College of Engineering-Center for Environmental Research and Technology, for a total amount not to exceed $50,092.
Proposal Number 2432-209 entitled "The Physical and Chemical Characterization of Ultrafine and Nanoparticle Particulate Matter Emissions from Gasoline and Diesel On-Road Motor Vehicles," submitted by the University of California, Davis, Crocker Nuclear Laboratory for a total amount not to exceed $501,874.
Proposal Number 2428-209 entitled "Investigation of Technologies to Reduce Emissions of Methylene Chloride from Furniture Stripping Operations," submitted by Institute for Research and Technical Assistance for a total amount not to exceed $99,741.
Proposal Number 2430-209 entitled "Evaluation of Noy and Nitric Acid Measurement Methods," submitted by the University of California, Riverside, College of Engineering-Center for Environmental Research and Technology, for a total amount not to exceed $128,638.
Proposal Number 2433-209 entitled "Refinement of Selected Fuel-Cycle Emissions Analyses," submitted by ARCADIS Geraghty & Miller, Inc., for a total amount not to exceed $148,537.

Although no formal Board action may be taken, the Board is allowing an opportunity tointerested members of the public to address the Board on items of interest that are within theBoard's jurisdiction, but that do not specifically appear on the agenda. Each person will beallowed a maximum of five minutes to ensure that everyone has a chance to speak.
