Dear Chairwoman Nichols and Board Members;
  Climate change is a megatrend.  Climate change is a fact of
modern life.  We cannot put our heads in the sand and ignore the
impacts of global warming on our state.  The best way to prepare
for the future, is to address the root cause now.  We simply must
reduce our carbon footprints.  We must reduce the amount of fossil
fuel we use.  We must revisee the inefficient land use patterns so
popular in past eras.  We must drive less.
  Only strong and firm ghg targets, such as those in your staff
recommendation, will break the cycle of fossil fuel dependency. 
Please support and approve the recommendations included in the
written staff report - for all regions of the state.  Please do not
postpone or reduce the proposed targets.
