Please include my voice as one in favor of the SCAG Staff
recommendation to support the CARB target-setting for Southern
California.  

I understand the reasons that local governments are angry about the
State raiding limited county-city resources and then requiring
State unfunded mandates; however, this situation is not so simple. 


I believe that the more ambitious targets that are recommended by
CARB will promote economic development and not detract from it.

A more livable, less auto-dependent life, will make the region more
attractive for businesses and residents, building a stronger
economic engine to move us forward.   The best way to improve the
fiscal situation of local government is to promote that type of
growth that can be handled sustainably.

I vote with CARB and its ambitious targets that will enable us to
together re-think the future of our region!
