California has yet another opportunity to lead the world and
attract talent and industry to the state to solve problems. In
addition to measures being adopted, please also add measures to:
1.         Reduce diesel emissions from heavy-duty trucks;
2.         Require ports to provide shore-side electrification to
vessels;
3.         Require cement factories to use energy more
efficiently.
These measures will both reduce greenhouse gas emissions and
protect public health by reducing toxic air pollution. By leading
the way with these measures we encourage the creation of
California-based companies to solve these problems. These
problems
will have to be solved globally, so it is best to lead the curve
rather than follow it. This leads to higher tax revenue, etc.
