Our economy cannot afford to allow anyone to continue spewing
greenhouse gases into the air.
Consider what is going to happen as climate change worsens; the
central valley becomes drier, sea levels rise, storms worsen and
cause more property damage.  As air pollution worsens, more health
costs will incur.  Rates of asthma will increase, and more of us
with breathing problems will be hospitalized.
State costs for alleviating the problems will be much higher than
the costs of preventing them.
