| Comment | Honorable Board Members, I am writing in support of reducing the speeds of freighters in the Santa Barbara Channel. The reduced speeds would help to protect the whale populations in the Santa Barbara Channel and also help to reduce air pollution also. I've been an avid sailor since 1983 and have crossed the Santa Barbara Channel numerous times and the reduced speeds would help to make the crossing to the Channel Island much safer. Thank you for allowing me to comment on this item. |
