Subject | Tire Inflation Police???? |
Comment | I just read your polcy on "Fugitive dust" after posting the last comment. It is good that you have the measure, but it definitly can be enforced on a much wider area. It appears that you have no requirements for a posted visible sign with contact information and Dust permit number for general public to view. That should be mandatory on any site over 3 acres. It also appeared to be a "we might fine you" type of policy. This is not correct. Anyone not in compliance of fugitive dust control should be fined. And i di not see anything about monitoring sites for air quality. You need dust inspectors. If you are wondering how the County can pay for more employees, it will be covered by the cost of the dust permit. Every type of earth disturbing work needs to have a permit therfore generating hundreds of thousands of dollars per county. Again tire inflation is flat!!! You cannot possibly or effectivly control the monitoring of tire pressure in vehicles. This will create more costs than simply tightening the belt on Fugitive dust control. I understand the pressure to find a solution, but lets not go so far out of the box. Also tell Gov. Arnold that his interview on tv (Where his picture fell off the wall from the earthquake) I di notice that he did not have Flourescent light bulbs in his desk lamp. Start at the top then work you way down to the public for Global Warming Prevention. Jeffrey Morris |
