Subject | Proposed Regulations |
Comment | I am disappointed the ARB is making laws costing businesses $100 million per year with marginal results. I, like thousands of other residents, maintain my own tire pressure and maintenance. If my repair shop has time to double check it, fine. But to make it mandatory just increases the cost of services I pay for (e.g., oil changes) to cover their overhead and costs to provide these services. I know it's in my best interest to keep my tires inflated properly to reduce gas consumption and prevent premature wear-out. Living in the desert, I also know under-inflated tires can be a safety hazard. That's why I and many people I know look after our tires. I'm tired of additional costs being regulated on my service bills. I think we have more working knowledge of tire care than the majority of members sitting on the ARB. This proposed regulation is silly and petty. Surely the ARB can find more worthwhile items to make bigger differences without costing the $100 million in your estimates, which I would suspect being on the low side anyway. |
