Subject | Proposed Tire Pressure Reguation |
Comment | I can forsee the regulation will encounter failure in several areas: 1. Many (most) Auto Service Providers will ignore the regulation, essentially making an unenforceable situation for the BAR. 2. Auto Service Providers adhering to the regulation will conduct "rubber stamp" documentation just to avoid violation. 3. If a consumer does not want the tire pressure checked, the regulation will be contradictory to the BAR authization process. 4. I do not see any feasible method to accurately measure the results or benefit of the regulation against the estimated benefit. 5. If the vehicle has modified wheels or oversized tires, the regulation will not be enforcable. Due to the above reasons, the common sense answer is the proposed regulation should be withdrawn. |
