cc -- Mandatory GHG Reporting - Draft Regulation Language Available
Posted: 10 Aug 2007 16:47:39
This message is to inform you of the availability of draft regulatory language for mandatory greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting for California. The draft language was developed pursuant to requirements of the California Global Warming Solutions Act (AB 32, Statutes of 2006, chapter 488) which requires mandatory GHG reporting in California. The draft regulatory language is based on extensive stakeholder input and assistance. However, the document is still very much a work in progress, and we are releasing this preliminary version to solicit your comments and questions on our proposed requirements. Comments by September 5, 2007, would be most helpful and effective. The draft regulation is located here: www.arb.ca.gov/cc/ccei/reporting/reporting.htm On Wednesday, August 15, 2007, staff of the Air Resources Board (ARB) will hold a public workshop, open to all interested parties, to discuss the regulatory proposals and hear your comments. For additional information regarding the workshop, including the full workshop notice and instructions for participating via the internet, please go to our web page here: www.arb.ca.gov/cc/ccei/ccei.htm We also welcome any comments on the draft regulatory language provided to us by phone, email, or in writing. We will use the comments received to prepare a proposed regulation and staff report, to be released on October 19, 2007, for a formal 45 day comment period. The Board will consider the October 19th staff proposal at its December 6-7, 2007, meeting. The time and location for the upcoming workshop is: Date: Wednesday, August 15, 2007 Time: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Pacific Time) Location: Coastal Hearing Room Address: Cal/EPA Headquarters, 2nd floor 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 Directions to Cal/EPA Headquarters and public transit information can be found at the California Environmental Protection Agency's web site at: www.calepa.ca.gov/epabldg/location.htm Please contact Patrick Gaffney at pgaffney@arb.ca.gov or (916)322-7303 if additional information is needed.
