Air Resources Board visits Salinas for big rig inspections


ARB Strike force to check large trucks for compliance with air pollution laws


SALINAS - The Air Resources Board will be working alongside the California Highway Patrol to
conduct inspections on heavy-duty trucks traveling in the Salinas area. The effort is part of ARB’s
stepped-up enforcement campaign to ensure that clean air requirements are understood, and
that big rig drivers are in compliance with the laws designed to improve air quality throughout
California.

WHAT: Truck inspections to check for compliance with state air pollution laws
WHO: California Air Resources Board, California Highway Patrol
WHEN: Tuesday, June 25, 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon (ongoing inspections)
WHERE: Southbound Abbott St. between E. Blanco Rd. and Merrill St., across from the River Ranch
Fresh Foods facility at 1085 Abbott St. (Look for CHP and Truck Inspections signage)
