Below, you will find information regarding open standards and open source software / free software (OSS/FS) initiatives discussed in the August 2004 California Performance Review plus links to government related OSS/FS articles, presentations, links to useful resources, and the potential green effects of employing open source software tools. The California Air Resources Board (ARB) hosts this small website for the benefit of ARB and Franchise Tax Board (FTB) staff and others to collect and disseminate information relative to the usage of open source software at the ARB, FTB and other governmental entities.
