Lake Tahoe Atmospheric Deposition Study (LTADS)

The objective of the Lake Tahoe Atmospheric Deposition Study (LTADS) was to update estimates of atmospheric deposition to Lake Tahoe. The ARB, in cooperation with the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA), Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board (LRWQCB), Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP), U.S. Forest Service, and the University of California, conducted a comprehensive study of nutrient and sediment inputs to Lake Tahoe. The LTADS study quantified the direct atmospheric deposition of nutrients and particulate matter that reduce the clarity of Lake Tahoe. The LTADS study also addressed the relative contribution of local and regional sources of the atmospheric inputs.
