06-7-1:

Report to the Board on a Health Update: Current Issues in Ultrafine Particle Research - ARB's Health and Exposure Research Program
Ultrafine particles are under increasing scrutiny as having possibly significant health effects. The ARB is currently engaged in a number of research projects to address the sources, properties, and health effects of ultrafine particles. The sources include mobile and stationary combustion processes, secondary particle formation through atmospheric processes, and indoor sources. Health effects studies have implicated the role of ultrafine particles in respiratory and cardiovascular health. Staff will present the state of what we currently know and current research to learn about these particles.

Public Meeting to Brief Board Members on the San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan

The draft plan identifies air quality goals proposed by the ports, along with emission reduction strategies that the ports propose to implement over the next five years. Public Hearing to Consider Amendments to the California Regulations for New 1997 and Later Off-Highway Recreational Vehicles and Engines

Staff also proposes to insert into section 2413, title 13, CCR, the specific language related to the labeling requirements for OHRVs, which was previously incorporated by reference and contained in a separate document, and to amend the All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) category to better describe ATVs and to allow certain types of utility vehicles to certify to the ATV standards.
