Subject | Amendments to MIR Values |
Comment | These proposals are important and should be approved. They will not have an impact on the businesses who do the aerosol coating work except to give them around 380 new choices to use when putting their products together. So this is a benefit to businesses who want to try different ingrediants in their products. The requirements for businesses will still stay the same as they were in July 2001. The MIR Proposal will update the values for all the compounds listed under it and thatis important because the scientific processes for determining the values has changed and been improved alot since 2004. This proposal is also important for the improvements it will make to the MIRs in the hydrocarbon solvent bins. Under the new process for determining these MIRs, the chemical composition is found for each hydrocarbin bin and then the MIRs fohr the constituents figured to get the MIR for each bin. This removes alot of the guessing that was part of the old system. With the new information that comes with this proposal, it maybe time to look again at the aerosol spray regulations. Thank you and best wishes, Michael E. Bailey, 25801 Marguerite Parkway, No. 103, Mission Viejo, CA 92692. |
