Please do not enact this proposed legislation.  I believe that it
is an inappropriate use of governmental regulation and it is the
responsibility of licensed drivers to properly maintain their tire
pressure.  I drive a sport utility and when I venture off-road, I
must lower the pressure on my tires for adequate traction and I can
foresee a situation where a policeman might cite me for low
pressure if I was returning from an off-road trip and hadn't yet
had a chance to adjust my tire pressure appropriately.
