I am writing to express my concerns about the changes that could
potentially prevent us from being able to afford to go fishing on
party boats. 
I have only been fishing offshore in California for about 4 years
now but it is something I have come to love as well as many people
that live in Las Vegas. It has been hard enough to make the trips
to the coast since the increased prices do to Covid and gas prices
skyrocketing. If the boats disappear or the cost becomes anymore
prohibitive I, and the others that make the trips several times a
year, will no longer be able to make the runs down to the coast.
There are several people from Arizona, Southern Utah, Southern
Nevada, interior California and even Colorado that make the journey
to Southern California for the fishing. If you make the mandates to
eliminate older boats effective, then the loss of revenue to the
state will be drastic. 
I implore you to rethink the decision being considered to eliminate
the fleets as we know them. This will not only have a major impact
on fisherman and the boats they pay to fish on but the state, the
cities, and all the business that gain revenue from the visitors to
your state that utilize the fleets that are planned to be disrupted
or destroyed.
