My son has been in the Sport fishing business for 20+ years.  It
has provided a nice living income for him.  He is proud of what he
has accomplished.  This new law will not only take away his
livelihood but that of many others who make their living in this
industry.  This new law, proposed by the California Resource Board,
will destroy the Sport fishing industry in CA.  Men and women have
built their whole careers in this industry.  It will cost millions
of dollars to each boat owner to do what this law requires.  It is
not only very costly but not feasible to pass these costs on to
their customers.  The wealthy can travel out of state to get their
sport fishing.  I am asking, at the very least, for CARB to revise
the proposed law, make it more realistic and financially feasible
for these boat owners and the sport of fishing to survive.
