| Comment | Dear California Air Resources Board;
Please do NOT revise the history-making program that was to put
more than 5,000 Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEVs) on the road.
The most promising way to reach the goal to reduce greenhouse gas
emissions 25% by 2020 is to give consumers the choice to buy
Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEVs), like the electric Tesla Roadster.
Please, Mary Nichols,
1. Require the full 25,000 ZEVs that automakers had promised for
2012-2014, and
2. Create a separate requirement for plug-in hybrids that lets
them replace the dirtiest vehicles in CARB's regulations, rather
than the cleanest ZEVs.
Please provide a stronger proposal that puts more ZEVs on the
roads, and helps move California toward the future.
Sincerely,
William Medina
