RE: AB 32 Scoping Plan

Dear Chairman Nichols:

I appreciate the opportunity to comment on the California Air
Resources Board’s Proposed Scoping Plan for AB 32 and would urge
the Board to substantially increase the the land use and
transportation targets to 11-14 MMT.  As one who spent most of the
last five years as a municipal planner in one of the fastest
growing part of the state,the eastern Coachella Valley, I can
assure you that failing to increase these targets would send the
wrong message to the development community that has preferred to
develop walled and/or gated communities. 

Thank you both for your long and sustained efforts on this
extremely important document.
