| Comment | I have no doubt that the thought behind more restrictive CARB
regulations were designed with the best interest of the general
public. I am concerned that these new regulations will pretty much
force the retirement of nearly two thirds of the current California
whale watch and fishing fleet.
It seems some of the new requirements call for upgraded equipment
that is either not currently available or near impossible to
retrofit to existing vessels, forcing their retirement.
I'm certain this is not the actual intent of the California
legislature.
I hope a re-think of these proposals is possible so that a major
business can continue to function as it has for so many years.
Thank you,
John
