After spending many wonderful days with my late husband fishing out
of Ventura Harbor, Santa Monica Harbor, Catalina Island, Long
Beach, Channel Islands Harbor, 22nd Street, LA Harbor, and trips to
Baja et al., I ask you not to destroy this pleasurable activity for
those who love the ocean and the many treasures received all of
these years from the sea.  Happy memories, delicious fish, and
opportunities for everyone involved.  The young deck hands and
other youth were well served by the camaraderie and experiences we
all felt while out there.  Please do not take these drastic
measures to destroy this one human pleasure that has served mankind
since the beginning of time.  There has to be a way to save this
enterprise for California and for the world.
