I started in the galley as a dishwasher in 1980 on the Searcher
that is still running today. That experience launched my career. I
raised my family in this industry and have sold hundreds of boats
to clients all over the world. It seems absolutely insane to
require the fleet to convert to tier 4 motors when its impossible
to convert each boat to that standard. The fleet will die. Along
with thousands of jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars for the
local community. There are other solutions. And the fleet owners
have been more than willing to explore other options. Please
reconsider your actions and work with industry for a long term
solution vs. a knee jerk Sacramento driven blind edict.
