Dear ARB Members,

Our coastal region is going to be seriously affected by sea level
rise. For this reason, I urge you to require more ambitious
greenhouse gas emissions goals than the ones recommended in the
staff report. 
Our local jurisdictions could do much more to concentrate housing
near job centers, and to prioritize non-auto travel. It is a sad
reality that Santa Cruz County's Regional Transportation
Commission's top priority is widening Highway 1. Please send them a
strong signal that widening highways is not the way to greenhouse
gas reduction.
