Subject	EMA Comments on CARB ACF Rule Proposal
Comment	The Truck and Engine Manufacturers Association (EMA) hereby submits comments on the proposed Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) regulation that the California Air Resources Board (CARB) released, along with CARB Staff’s Initial Statement of Reasons (ISOR), on August 30, 2022. Included was a proposed regulation to terminate CARB’s Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) rule at the end of 2039 and replace it with a requirement that manufacturers sell only zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) in California beginning in 2040.
