The proposed rule mandating 30 percent of heavy-duty trucks sold to
be electric, zero-emission vehicles by 2033 is incredibly
important.The medium and heavy duty vehicle stock must begin to
transition in order to move our transition to full electrification
forward. In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and
improving air quality and public health in vulnerable communities,
adoption of the rule will incentivize and accelerate battery
development that will boost EV adoption across the nation.And as
usual, the world is watching and California is the leader here in
the US. We must move forward to keep up with the advances China is
making.
