| Comment | To whom it may concern,
I have recently been reading up on the new emissions regulations
proposed by CARB. I would like to voice my concern regarding these
regulations on the sport fishing industry. I am a sport fisherman
and frequently use the services provided by these hard working
captains and deckhands. I have seen first hand the hard work,
service and thousands of happy customers and lives that this
industry has provided. Of course our environment is a priority and
talking care of it is the only way to preserve it for many years to
come; however, we have to find a median between drastic regulations
and livelihoods of hundreds of thousands direct and indirect
employees of the sport fishing industry. San Diego tourism depends
a lot on this industry. Sport fishing brings a lot of peace and
happiness to many people. It is an incredible joy to be able to
participate in it. Have have made some very good friends from
fishing. I respectfully request that you reconsider these drastic
regulations and ask that you work with the fleets to bilaterally
reach a happy median. So many people depend on this industry and
moving forward with this will kill many Americans and leave them
with nothing.
