My name is Brenda Huerta and I work in Riverside County. I work for
an environmental justice and organization. We are happy to see that
CARB has improved the ACT rule but we definitely need this to
reflect in our communities and the health and well being of our
people. We need the CARB to adjust to zero emissions vehicles sales
percentage for Class 7-8
trucks to start with 12% in 2024 and 80% by 2035. Thank you for all
the work that has been done so far, please consider strengthening
the
ACT at the June CARB Board meeting. We have seen during COVID 19
that people with more respiratory issues are more vulnerable to
COVID19 we need to prioritize the health of our people.
