My name is Jessica Geiger, I reside in the city of Montclair and
have been a life-long Southern California resident. I also live
just a few yards from the 10 freeway, a freeway that sees thousands
of trucks every single day. Every single day, my neighbors and I
experience the costs of air pollution. 

Communities who are burdened with the worst air quality in the
United States are also the same communities that are
disproportionately affected by Covid-19, a virus that mainly
attacks the lungs. There is an obvious connection between this
virus and air quality. There is absolutely no justification for
weakening or putting off air pollution regulations in the name of
economic recovery. The industries pushing back on this rule today,
who are using the pandemic to their advantage, are the same
industries that have been pushing back on environmental regulations
for decades.

ACT is crucial for our communities to begin to breathe without
fear.
