I support the strongest measures possible to reduce emissions from
trucks. As one who lives in a very clean suburb, I empathize with
those who must suffer lung damage from living in areas constantly
encased in bad air. The recent wildfires reminded us that bad air
can strike any of us. It is wrong to impose that on the least
fortunate when it is not really necessary.

The advances in electric propulsion has made it possible to
implement that technology. I have owned an electric car since 2017.
It is so abundantly clear that electric (or fuel cell) is the way
to go. The maintenance is almost non-existent. You don't even have
to clean off brake dust from the wheels. Now it is just a matter of
nudging truck makers and buyers to move forward and change their
fleets. I applaud your regulations proposal.
