I am one of thousands of people who enjoy taking a sport fishing
trip each year. The boat I choose is a family business and their
standards are high. Most sport fishing operations are single family
run and they provide a great way for people to enjoy our waterways
while catching fresh fish. 

It would be a crime to put these families, many who have been
fisherman for generations, out of business. If their boats become
illegal, they have lost both their livelihood and the major
investment they have made in their boat. 

Even if they were able to purchase a "compliant" vessel, no one
would want to pay the fees (which I am told might need to double)
to go fishing. They are expensive now, but with fuel on the rise,
they are not getting rich. This regulation, if it passes will kill
the industry and disappoint thousands of Californians.

Please do not pass this legislation! Keep sport fishing alive for
us all to enjoy. IF at he California Air Resources Board is
serious, it would instead outlaw wood burning ovens, and set aside
funds to enforce the regulation. Don't pick on the fisherman!
