| Comment | Dear Chair and Members of the Board, Gas-powered leaf blowers and lawn mowers are notorious for their pollution and cause numerous health problems and contribute to poor air quality. They must be removed. I was at my daughter's elementary school at dropoff this morning and there was a maintenance worker blowing leaves as kids were coming into school. Man, was it stinky! The kids couldn't avoid it. I have the same experience coming into work on a regular basis. I feel sorry for the workers who have these pollution machines strapped to their backs for hours at a time, day after day. How can these still be in use in 2021? Much better alternatives exist and must be adopted asap. Your action on this will help us live better lives. Thank you, Peter |
