To Whom it May Concern:

I've lived in California since 1971.  At that time, this beautiful
state was the envy of the whole country.  Since then I have
witnessed one destructive government policy after another bring
this "golden state" closer and closer to ruin.  We are no longer
the envy of the country, but the laughingstock of it.  Our leaders
are truly in La La land if they think other states admire us and
will follow our lead over the cliff like lemmings. We are in the
process of committing suicide. 
 
This "Advanced Clean Trucks" rule is yet another nail in our
self-made coffin.  Is there no one in our government who
understands economics?  Or understands that no matter how close
California gets to "zero emissions", we share this planet with
other countries, namely China and India, who have absolutely no
interest at all in harming their economy in order to achieve lower
emissions.  The minuscule "good" we might do is massively
overwhelmed by them.   

I understand this proposed rule is currently in a 45 day public
comment period. 

This is my comment: please throw this damaging proposal into the
trashcan where it belongs.
