| Comment | Dear California Air Resources Board,
I am fortunate enough to have worked on the water for 17 years,
with the last 10 years out of Dana Point Harbor. I have extensive
experience running daily public Whale Watching and sight seeing
tours off the coast of Southern California. My career has given me
the opportunity to provide and support my family, while continuing
to do what I love.
The proposed CARB passenger boat regulations threatens the
livelihood of me and my family. These unattainable and unrealistic
guidelines would compromise the solvency of the family owned
company that I work for and many others up and down the beautiful
California coast. We all want cleaner air, but these impossible
regulations are not the way to accomplish that goal. I implore you
to reconsider the current regulations, and instead, revise them to
be more fairly attainable.
Thanks you for your time.
Fair Winds and Following Seas,
Captain Steve Burkhalter
