| Comment | Dear Members of the CARB,
I urge you to disapprove the proposed new regulations that
would require sportfishing and whale watching boats to install new
engines. The benefit to the environment would be minimal, and
installing new engines is not feasible for financial, safety and
operational reasons. This regulation would destroy a thriving
fishing industry that provides healthy recreation (and fresh fish!)
to thousands of Californians like myself. This industry is also a
major contributor to local economies. PLease do not enact this
unnecessary regulation.
