| Comment | I am considering purchasing a DOT approved, street legal electric
scooter. It has a range of approximately 40 miles, travels
approximately 45mph and is completely electric. While it is not
highway approved, I (and others) can use it to commute to work. It
seems like this would relieve congestion on the streets, reduce
carbon emissions, reduce oil/gas consumption and provide a safe
way to commute to work and take care of errands around town.
Last year your board included electric scooters which travel 65mph
and are street AND highway legal. Please expand the definition and
include these DOT approved electric vehicles.
Thank you.
