Subject | Attainment by 2017 is possible - Hearing in the San Joaquin Valley |
Comment | Dear Chairwoman Nichols and Board: Through the CARB Task Force efforts, it has become very clear that the California Air Resources Board should revoke the decision to bump up the San Joaquin Valley air Basin to Extreme Status. With more work done on the Stationary side of the SIP, the San Joaquin Valley can and should attain clean air by 2017. This is a very exciting discovery and the community of the San Joaquin Valley urges the Board to use its authority and change the San Joaquin Valley 2007 Ozone Plan to include more stationary sources and attain clean air by 2017. Please do what can be done and give hope to those of us raising our families in this air basin. Thank you. Sincerely, Melissa Kelly-Ortega Attached: Partial notes from the Merced Community Meeting held on November 7, 2007 |
