Please set goals that reflect the seriousness of the challenge to
the planet.  The goals we set now will make life much much easier
when the shit really hits the 

fan.  So if you set goals that will affect land use, commuting,
energy consumption, etc, then California will be in much better
shape in 20 years.  It takes years to change patterns in energy
use, so please start aggressively NOW.
