Dear Chairman Nichols,

I am writing to thank you for your leadership on climate change
policy and to encourage the Board to support public health by
establishing the  regional greenhouse gas reduction targets
possible under SB375. 　

Establishing strong targets will clearly signal a departure from
business as usual sprawl and support sustainable communities where
residents have healthier, physically active lives and public
transportation.　

Land use and transportation planning reduces our dependency on
driving. Reducing our air pollution- and cutting our contributions
to climate change,  will reduce the burdens affecting all of us,
especially our children, the elderly and those living with chronic
illnesses like asthma, obesity and diabetes.
