CARB has let down Californians and the many Americans whose states
adopt CARB regulations before in terms of backing down to
automakers wants and wishes in terms of ZEV and BEV and PHEV
vehicles.  Please do not do it again and push back demand for
these GHG friendly vehicles.  Just like your states RPS for
renewable electricity mandates supply of clean, renewable energy,
CARB's decisions to force automakers to make electric vehicles
will advance the technology faster than normal market conditions
would allow.  We need these technologies so that both major
sectors that produce GHG, power generation and transportation can
be converted to form a full loop of clean technology.  

As a soon-to-be college graduate interviewing in the renewables
sector, it is legislation such as this supporting BEV, ZEV, and
PHEV that help raise the tide of the entire green economy,
promoting more awareness and adoption of cleantech.  I hope to
working in your state soon to develop fields full of PV panels,
but my efforts will go much further if those fields are used to
power our automobiles.  Please encourage CARB to support cleaner
cars in a BIG way.
