Electric vehicles are a source of clean, zero-emissions power.
California is one of the most polluted states, as it is home to
many urban areas. California needs a clean, reliable, and
available form of transportation. Electric vehicles are all of
these. Electric vehicles firstly can be powered from renewable
energy such as wind or solar making them virtually produce
zero-emissions. Electric cars are also reliable- they only have
ONE moving part, do not need smog-checks, oil changes, etc.
Electric cars also, unlike hydrogen which is still in development,
electric vehicles are an available technology (see EV1 and RAV4
EV). Lastly, we aren't sponsoring destruction of environments that
occurs when searching for oil- we must reenact a electric vehicle
