| Comment | March 24, 2008 Mary Nichols Chairwoman Air Resources Board It is my opinion that the car manufacturers are supply all of the no-emissions vehicles that the public demands. The marketplace must set the demand. It is not up to the state to force consumer behavior. If I wanted a no-emissions vehicle, I’ll bet I could have one in less than a week, maybe even the day I stepped on to a dealer’s lot. I prefer to own vehicles with a little more power than can be found in no-emission cars. Further, I have a need to tow a trailer and the little cars simply are not able to do that.
