I am one of those happy electric car drivers. I like knowing that
my car pollutes less, and relies on domestic energy not subject to
the whims of OPEC. This is a national security issue as well as a
step in the right direction toward mitigation of climate change.

Every day strangers approach me and ask, "How do I get one of
those?" I have to tell them it's not easy, but that perhaps our
wise government officials will find the strength to face down the
oil companies & automakers in order to do the right thing for our
society, with a little public encouragement.
