It is critical for California to take a leadership position in
making zero emission transportation available as an alternative to
fossil fuel driven vehicles.  Zero Emission personal vehicles are a
good step in this direction.  You must, however, increase the
availability of these vehicles by forcing auto manufactures to
make more vehicles available for sale in California, not fewer. 
Mandating production of more of these vehicles will have an effect
on every state in the U.S. and go a long way toward controlling the
emissions of greenhouse gases and reducing our dependence on fossil
fuels.  Zero emission mass transit must also be increased as part
of our efforts.
