The mandate of Zero Emission Vehicle sales is critical to ensure
manufacturers provide a cost-effective alternative to the internal
combustion engine.

The quantity of ZEV's required each mfr is required to produce
will greatly effect the cost and variety of ZEV's available to
consumers.  The technology is readily available however automakers
have no reason to develop these technologies to be more cost
effective unless they impact their overall profits.

Laws in California impact industry trends across the nation, and
around the world.  CARB has an opportunity to make a huge impact
on air quality and to help reduce our dependency on foreign oil.

Please do not compromise the ZEV2008 mandate as proposed.
