I work for the Canadian government, and I strongly urge you to
support BEV, ZEV and PHEV.  All of these concepts are good, and
their results and environmental improvements are of value to not
just California, but also the world.  The world can no longer
afford the externalizing of the costs that the OEMs have given us
for years.  They sell oil consuming trucks as passenger vehicles,
and are then surprised at the rise of asthma in children.  Now ask
them to pay for the health costs of these children.
We all need California to stand up to the car and oil companies. 
Ottawa and Washington are not doing their job, so we hope you can
put some common sense back into the auto industry.
