I strongly support efforts to require auto makers to offer electric
only and electric/gas hybrid cars with plug-in options.  I feel so
strongly about this that I refuse to buy a new car until I can at
least buy a plug-in car that I can recharge with electricity from
solar panels on my roof.

It is time for California to step up to the plate in weaning us
off from oil dependence.  California is a sunny state, and we
should be forerunners in demanding that consumers be provided with
electric car options.  Please provide the strongest possible
funding for electric car programs and legislation that demands
that electric cars be made available.
