I insist you consider sending the ZEV mandate back to staff to
regulate auto makers to increase the numbers of electric ZEVs they
are required to produce.  Also, and very importantly, staff need to
understand and recommend that plug-in hybrids should be seen as
replacements for the dirtiest cars rather than competing with 100%
battery electric vehicles.

Having more electric cars on the road is very important to me as I
have grandchildren, one of which uses an inhaler to help him
breathe.  I don't want my granddaughter to suffer in the same way.
 The only thing that has changed in our community is tremendous
growth, and with it 2.5 cars per household.  Our air is nothing
like it was just 10 years ago.  It is much dirtier.  Consumers
need a choice in the showroom so that we can all participate in
cleaning our air.
