| Comment | Hello, Someone recently gave me a ride in a Toyota RAV4 EV from the San Jose area to the College in Santa Cruz and I was amazed. Toyota built this Electric Vehicle with performance years ago, so there is no reason that it can't be done by other automakers now with existing technology. I feel strongly that California should adopt regulations that mandate tens of thousands of EVs on our highways right here in California. Our electricity mix only includes 17 percent coal fired electric plants. So it is clear that electric vehicles at least as good at the Toyota RAV4 EV would reduce pollution and greenhouse gases significantly. Also EVs can be charged at night as not to put big demands on our electric grid. Sincerely Rudy Stefenel |
