Electric cars are part of our new brighter future.  The next car I
buy, I want it to be an electric car. But I will not be able to
afford one if we do not develop the market.

Fuel efficiency improved because of strong regulation and then sat
stagnant ever since that regulation dried up.  We need real
regulation to create the positive future we want. 

The government has been the foundation on which most technology
has been developed. from lazer's to rocket flight it has been
strong visionary governments that have subsidized, regulated, and
demanded innovation.

This will be one of the most important choices of your career.  It
will define our ability to address global warming, here in
California, the larger USA and in the world. If we don't act with
strength china wont act enough. We are doing this to guide china
as well.
